Frequently Asked Questions

A lami....

  • What is a laminate?

A laminate is a material constructed by uniting two or more layers of material together is such a way as the harder layer on the outside and the softer layer inside. It can be paper and film, paper and paper, or film and film. The process of creating a laminate is lamination, which in common parlance refers to sandwiching something between layers of plastic/bopp and sealing them with heat and/or pressure, usually with an adhesive(dry form-LDPE, EVA, ACRYLIC or wet solvent such as fevicol or vemicol).

However, in electrical engineering, lamination is a construction technique used to reduce unwanted heating effects.

The lamination film protects the printed materials from excessive handling, moisture, dusts or dirts or chemicals, etc. that could reduce the life of the valuable printed materials.

  • It prevente the materials from becoming creased, sun damaged, wrinkled, stained, smudged, abraded and/or marked by grease, fingerprints and environmental concerns. An example of the type of laminate using different materials would be the application of a layer of plastic film the "laminate" on either side of a sheet of Paper/PET/Polyester Films/BOPP, the laminated subject.

We have a wide range, both the films and machine upto 60" wide, can be laminated now with the single side coated PET or Polyester Films or BOPP available in various width and thickness.

Our laminating film rolls, pouches are avilable in various dimention and thickness to cater the needs of our customers.

  • To protect the materials like map, charts, posters, certificates, photographs, designs, layouts, etc. from getting damaged by fluid, dust, dirt or greases.

Lamination film can also prevent wrinkles, creases, smudges, etc. in the printed materials.
